Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP): Is authorized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to survey hospitals, clinical laboratories and other healthcare facilities for compliance with CMS standards.

National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA): Provides information about the quality of national managed care plans to enable consumers to evaluate health plan performance.
